Webster Technique

Dr. Arentsen is trained and certified in the Webster Technique. This is a gentle pelvic analysis used to reduce intrauterine stress in pregnancy. It corrects alignment of the pelvic bones, muscles, and ligaments which can lead to the natural correction of a mal-positioned baby such as breech or transverse. This is NOT a technique that physically turns the baby, such as an OB performed external version.

Dry Needling Technique

Dr. Buck is trained and certified in dry needling treatment. Dry needling is a technique that involves insertion of a needle into a trigger point or tight band of muscle to manage pain, release tension, improve healing, and help neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Local effects of needling also including tissue remodeling with including reduced tissue tension, decreased inflammation and replacement of injured/scarred tissues.

When inserting the needle, the signals to the brain that the muscle and/or joint are not functioning properly. This brings blood flow and a localized “good” inflammatory response to break up the knot. We recommended coupling dry needling with chiropractic adjustments or therapeutic exercise to re-train your muscles and your brain to work the way they should. Dry needling is a great option to complement your pain management plan.
